More Than Just Kirin…
Have a look at this entertaining article by Mark Garrison on Slate.com, in which he discovers the innovative craft beer scene in Japan:
As they say, no publicity is bad publicity. But, the writer could have done a little more work and covered a bit more of the craft beer scene here. I mean, come on -- Hitachino Nest and Ginga Kogen are the best Japan has to offer? I think NOT.
Yeah, upon rereading it I see that he does focus mostly on Hitachino Nest, which was the one Japanese craft brew he was already familiar with before he visited Japan. He does mention a few others, but I can't imagine that he didn't discover some great beers at Popeye and Ushi Tora.
